Hello friends,!
Well, here's the next week of index card art. How quickly these first three weeks have gone by. This year, I'm cheating a little bit. I'm not actually using index cards, but instead I bought a small book of not brilliant quality sketch paper. As far as the quality goes, it's not far off the poor quality of an index card. It's just that this is bound in a spiral book. It contains 70 pages so that's enough to give me more than one page per day for the 61 days. And at the end of it, I'll have a small, neatly bound book of my artwork. So much more tidy than just a bunch of loose index cards that very often get separated out. And then I can't find them.
so here's the next round up.
Day 16/61 Alphabet
Day 17/61 Sunflower
Day 19/61 Violet
Day 20/61 Tranquility
Day 21/61 Postage Stamp
Day 22/61 Unexpected
Day 23/61 Enchanted Forest
Until next time
Stay safe, stay well
Debbie xx
A great idea to use a spiral book :) They are all lovely Debbie. I particularly love the Enchanted Forest and the Violet. You have great imagination the way you interpret the prompts. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Caroline. I'm struggling with which one's my favourite. I was. not terribly enamoured making the xylophone one. However, it makes me think somehow of. Peruvian textiles of all things.
DeleteHi Deb, good idea with a little book! Your index cards are gorgeous, as always, I love your ideas. Hard to choose a fave today, they are just all great. Have a wonderful weekend, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThank you Valerie. Yes, having it all in a little book is going to be quite a novelty, isn't it? Keeping. everything together, keeping everything safe will make a big. change for me.
DeleteI'm glad you mentioned you were posting...it seems I have missed a couple of weeks. I wish they would get the notifications working again.
ReplyDeleteI love all the colors you used, so pretty. My eyes were bouncing around to see all the pretty colors. I love the sheen of metallic paint here and there, it adds to the depth of the pictures...catches the eye.
I don't think I can pick a favorite, love the sunflower, the xylophone is so colorful, the violet is sweet and the gnomes faces are adorable. Beautiful work!
Thank you my friend. I'll keep nudging you as I don't know what the problem is, why you're not getting the reminders, but I know. I'm having a few problems with it on this end as well. Sometimes even my comments go into spam. I'm glad someone noticed the gnome faces. They started out as flowers.
DeleteWonderful, Debbie! But I'm especially intrigued by the xylophone and postage stamp. My paints are right here, but I can't seem to manage to paint more than once a week. Must remedy that!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jean. Or you must get your paints out, especially if you. got them right there. Making art is so therapeutic.
DeleteGosh, so difficult to chose this time. The Sunflower looks 3D. The Xylophone leapt off the page and Tranquility has gorgeous blues. You've outdone yourself!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. the tranquillity one hasn't photographed particularly well, but it has made it look rather pretty. Photographs will do that though, won't they?
DeleteI think my vote goes to the sunflower
ReplyDeleteone of my favourites too, Sie
DeleteYou are so talented, Deb. LOVE the sunflower!
ReplyDeleteI am rather partial to the sunflower too. Thank you for stopping by..
DeleteDeb, it's so nice to see your artwork again. I've missed seeing your work! Thinking of you often, dear friend. The postage stamp is quite special and the violet gets my attention. I like them all! A book for them all is a great idea. I need to catch up with you and what is happening in your world!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to see you too, my friend! I am looking forward with eager anticipation reading all about your latest adventure! Thank you for taking time to stop by today when I know you must be very busy unpacking!
DeleteThese are very nice.
ReplyDeleteMy two favourites are the sunflower and the enchanted forest.
All the best Jan
