Hello friends!
Thank you to everyone for your kind and generous comments on my index card art on my previous blog. I really appreciate your kind words and support. It's not easy doing pieces of art, especially small ones. as there's nowhere to hide, and as my tremors worsen, there's more and more to hide. So heartfelt gratitude to those of you who took the time and trouble to comment. Thank you so much.
We're well over halfway now on the annual index card art challenge. Here are the current weeks pieces. If I'm honest, I've lost heart in it and this is reflected in what I put out this week. They're all off prompt, so I haven't included any of the details. Just the numbers for each one. Hopefully I'll start finding a little more inspiration again shortly.
33/61
They all look lovely and so pretty to me. I hope you get more inspiration next week although honestly Debbie the ones above all look pretty inspired to me. Take care and stay safe.
ReplyDeleteThank you Caroline. I can look at them and tell exactly where the muse departed!
DeleteHi Deb, these are all fantastic, each and everyone is my fave today! I know how it is with the shakes, and it's not good! But, we just have to carry on somehow! But my very favourite piece is the number 36, gorgeous forms and muted colours, delightful! Have a great weekend and take care, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThank you Valerie. #36 is layers of thin paint, which is probably how I got that vintage feel. Hope your weekend is going well. Hugs!
DeleteYou are so prolific, Deb. I love the colors and I couldn't possibly choose a favorite! Well done!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jeanie. I know how it looks prolific, but the whole idea of ICAD is a piece of art a day for 61 days, so I'm on schedule!
DeleteDeb, I'm sorry to hear you are a bit down, my friend. I know that inspiration waxes and wanes, but I do love your art. Number 33 and 38 are lovely. Take care, dear one!
ReplyDeleteThank you Martha Ellen. It happens, the muse goes then returns. I think she's back now! If in doubt, I fall back on neurographic art!
DeleteAs always, I love the colors you have chosen and the bit of metallic sheen, it really makes a difference. There are quite a few that I really like...but I am going to pick #37 as my favorite. Great work~
ReplyDeleteThank you my friend. Interesting choice that's the one where I was flummoxing and starting to lose my focus on the project "that became my if in doubt do a neurographic". Neurographic art seems to help me get back on track. Hugs to you my friend!
DeleteI think all your paintings are beautiful. You really must be careful to not be negative about your art or else inspiration will find someone else to grace! I found this out to be true about my own art! I'm trying to woo her back.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cathy. Interesting and wise words to. I hope you find your grace and your muse soon, because your work is lovely. I miss seeing it.
DeleteThank you. Me, too
DeleteSome of your images are really intricate - how long does one take from start to finish?
ReplyDeleteThank you Sue it varies from 30 minutes to two or three hours. Occasionally one or two might take me all day. Blame it on insomnia!
DeleteSorry you have lost heart because they are lovely
ReplyDeleteCathy
Thank you Cathy. I very often lose heart with this project somewhere around the middle Then I pick up momentum once again. However, this year I have got a multitude of other projects with which I am eager to continue.
DeleteWell, I think they are all good ... but I've listed my three favourites:-
ReplyDelete33/61 38/61 35/61
All the best Jan
Thank you Jan. I do believe I am my own worst critic. I'm glad you're enjoying them.
