New Year's Eve

Hello, friends

Today is the last day of 2024. Thank you to everyone who has followed me in the last few months. A special thank you to those of you who have regularly read my blog and left a comment on my wittering.

I don't know how we got to the end of the year so quickly. I think many of us feel the same. The past 12 months seem to have been accelerated away from us. It is a shame that so many of the outdoor events across the entire country have had to be cancelled because of the storm that is quickly approaching our shores. Our local New Year's Day swim for charity has also been cancelled.  I guess we have to blow the cobwebs of the old year away somehow.

I hope our paths will cross again in 2025. For now, all that remains is for me to say I wish for you all

A Happy, Healthy New Year 2025.

  1. A New Year and some more Bad Weather coming our way! Let's hope that 2025 brings a bit more in the way of sunshine, and a lot less in the way of storms.

Did you decide to go for Netflix in the end btw? There's plenty of entertainment on there.

    1. I suppose all we can do is hunker down and make the most of the time by reading and making! I could certainly use some sunshine!

  2. The weather here is awful just now. It's incredibly windy, and the rain is lashing at the windows. Luckily, I got back from the supermarket just in time. We'll be hunkering down for the rest of the day.
Stay safe and warm. Sending my very best wishes for a Happy New Year. Xx

    1. Hunkering down and enjoying indoor pastimes is all we can do! At least with solar powered rechargeable lights we can read without too much eye strain if the power goes out!

  3. Deb we are all having crazy weather. The temperatures of this past week have been so warm for us. Though nice as it is, I know we are affecting our climate drastically. Stay safe and Happy New Year to you my friend!

  4. Happiest of New Year's, Deb. I have enjoyed your posts. I hope your storm isn't a bad one and that you are safe. Here in Michigan it has been unseasonably warm (and rainy). I suspect we will see snow soon. Meanwhile, all good wishes for a good new year to you!

    1. Thank you, Sue. Your region was on Bargain Hunt this past week, they must have filmed it a good while back looking at the weather!

  6. Happy New Year, Deb~
I hope the New Year is better for us all, kinder, too.
We have had rain for several days in a row and have several more rainy days to go. I am so tired of it, but what can you do? New Year's Day, the rain is supposed to turn into snow. I could go on and on how unhappy I am with these dark and dreary days, but I have whined enough. My best wishes for us all~

    1. Hear! Hear! oh, snow is on it's way to us too! The dark and dreary days do pull us down, even when there is nothing else to pull us down, but we have our fair share of that!

  8. Yes, 2024 just seemed to fly by!
2025 has started very wet and windy and now it's going to turn cold with snow for some!
I spent the day indoors and took down my Christmas decorations, they are all put away now.
I sat and rewarded myself with a very enjoyable cup of tea.

I have enjoyed visiting you in 2024 and look forward to more visits and blogging friendship in 2025.

    My good wishes.

    All the best Jan
