ICAD Update

Hello Friends!

Due to unfortunate circumstances {thank you to those who've sent me kind messages of support and encouragement} I won't finish all 61 ICADs on time, but will keep plodding on until all are done.  Here are the next seven.

Imaginary arrangement in mixed media mark making

Inspired by seed heads seen on a walk, where land, sky, and sea meet

Nasturtiums using a large, very wet brush

Buddleia, mixed media

Poppy seed heads, mixed media

Inspired by, but looking nothing like, my Purple Sun osteospermum

41/61  Hydrangea

Until next time
Stay safe, stay well.

  1. Looks like you are having fun with those. Is there a finish date by which time you are meant to complete them, or is the end-time set by you? Are you using different media for them?

You've made me want to sketch again. Can't seem to get myself motivated to do anything at the moment though, apart from Family History.

    1. Thank you, it finishes officially tomorrow, but I will keep going just numbering them until I get 61. Each one is different media, as noted most are mixed media. Family history is fascinating indeed.

  3. What a beautiful selection - I loved them all. All different but all so lovely. Just have fun taking part and if you want to carry on after closing date and finish them all then just do so.

It looks a lovely and relaxing way to spend time. Thanks so much for sharing them.

    Take care.

    1. Thank you. I agree, all different which is starting to bug me some as there's no signature style developing. Still, it's a fun distraction from reality and I'll keep going until I have 61, then go back and rework my favourites on good paper.

  5. These are lovely, Deb. I especially like the wreath and the one under it!

If I miss some posts, forgive me. My blogger reader list has disappeared (has yours?) The one on the left column of the dashboard. Very frustrated and not getting any help from blogger. Grrr! I'll try to check in but I'm helpless without that list!

    1. Thank you. In truth, I have no idea what is going on with Blogger. Everyoe seems to be having multiple, often different, issues. It's as if they don't want us any longer.

    2. I can't find your comment, last evening, re: Mailmonkey, but I did try it a while back and got rejected. Just thought I'd mention it.

  6. Hi Deb, How is the sciatica - I have been suffering terribly, but at last found a Physio who would give me a hands on treatment and she suggested Naproxen. You have to be careful with it and take another drug to keep your alimentary system protected, but it has been a game changer for me. My sciatica started at the beginning of May and continues still, despite the new exercise regime, but I do believe it is gradually improving now. I wish you all the best - keep drawing and painting as keeping your mind on joyful things definitely helps.Much love and luck <3 <3 <3

    1. Thank you, Sandra. I'm sorry to hear you continue to be in pain too. Mine is much easier now but I have to be careful and still take the odd morphine based pain relief. I want to get to my chiropractor, but these days without a car it's not easy, and I'm not going by bus in a pandemic! Hope to see you soon, next year isn't so far away now. Deb xo

    1. Thank you, sweet friend. My pain is easing, but don't look for me on Twitter any time soon, I don't think I'm coming back there. All the political and pandemic posts are pulling me down, I'm much happier away from there.

  8. The most important thing is that you're enjoying doing them. Sometimes other things have to take priority.
