Season's Greetings

Hello Friends

Warmest Wishes for a Happy Christmas, however you celebrate.

All the doors on my {accidentally} tiny Advent calendar are now open

and my Scandinavian glass nativity is waiting to be lit at midnight

I've sorted out some reading for the coming days, and it's colour coordinated to the season!

and made a sweet angel card for my Godmother, which she loved

The old and battered nativity which I've owned for years is now in pride of place, for Christmas isn't Christmas without this treasure, as many of you know.

However you celebrate this, or any other year, may you find peace this Christmastide.

1 Corinthians 13:13 “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love”

Until next time
Stay safe and stay well

  3. Seasons Greetings to you too my friend. Your advent calendar may be tiny but it is rather lovely. The books look interesting. The Angel card is very beautiful. Take care and stay safe and well.

  4. A Blessed Christmas to you, also, Deb. I haven't communicated much with my current care-giving responsibilities. Gene is waning but resting. And I am so grateful to have him home and to be able to care for him myself. We are at peace and it is quiet here. Your Christmas preparations have a peacefulness and the wonderful small touches you always give. Prayers are with you for the days ahead. Jane xo

  5. What lovely decorations you have. I bet the Scandinavian Nativity is gorgeous when it is lit. The card you made is so sweet and pretty. I like the assortment of books you have to read. Merry Christmas, my friend. Wishing you all the best. May God keep you safe and well.

    Love and hugs,

Deb... Thank you for the Christmas greetings, I love reading your posts. I also follow you on twitter, but can't post as I am not a member, I'm quite technically challenged. I need a 10 year old to live with me to help me out. I hope to watch the St. David's festival of 9 lessons and Carols Christmas Day. Thankyou for providing the link. My favorite Christmas Carol is probably O holy Night, followed by Mary did you know. But I love so many of them, silver bells , Chestnuts roasting on a golden fire, I could go on and on. I hope you have a wonderful day today , and that the new year will soon be close to what we had before. Stay safe and hang in there. oh by the way, although most Americans don't have a plum pudding on Christmas, I'm half Welsh and made one to send to my son and one for me to have tomorrow. My Mom always made one. Thank you for all your posts. I like you will be spending Christmas alone to try to stay safe and curb this virus. Sue

  7. Best wishes to you as well, Deborah, for a very joyous Christmas and thanks for sharing your treasures in this post. We have many about which we feel the same, including a Nativity set with pieces that belonged to my late mother and it too has a place of honor. Your color coded holiday reading looked wonderful and I also have a couple. It's a different Christmas as many say, but still we feel that it is one to be thankful for because we are safe, well and at home as are family and friends. And, technology has made it easier for the distances keeping everyone far apart to be bridged.

  9. Merry Christmas, Deb! I love seeing some of your seasonal treasures -- so much history and sentiment attached. I collect Advent calendars, and every year I display a different one. I never grow tired of opening up each little window as the days go by. May peace and joy be yours always, my friend.

  10. I love seeing your Christmas pieces. The Scandinavian nativity is exquisite -- I have such a soft spot for nativities. And I hope your holiday was lovely. I am captivated by your book stack. The Country House at War is calling my name! I hope you are continuing to enjoy the holiday and had a beautiful Christmas. I took a few days off visiting and writing. Merriest!
